Analytics

See what brings people to your website

Website analytics for small business, built right in. See which pages people visit, where they come from and whether they stay, with figures you can actually read.

Start with a question you care about

A good question turns numbers into answers.

Start with what you want to know. Which pages do people read? Where do they come from? Do they stay? Talelike measures it on your own website, with no separate analytics service to set up.

Talelike’s analytics for Saltlyng’s site over 30 days: visits, visitors, pageviews and typical visit length. Then the pages people visited, with the Sea Buckthorn Serum page highlighted at 364 views, 220 of them people who came in on that page.

Your guide to the figures

See pages, channels and devices

See which pages people visit and where they arrive, which websites send visitors your way, and how visits split across channels, phones, tablets and computers.

Where visits to Saltlyng’s site came from in Talelike: first the websites that sent visitors, then the channels, then the devices.

Find your busiest page and your busiest day.

Spot the page people visit most, follow the visits over 30 days and see your busiest day. Then decide where your next hour of work should go.

The film shows a shop’s website and one of its product pages, then Analytics in Talelike: the same page among the pages people visited, the visits over 30 days and the busiest day, and how visitors are counted without cookies. The figures are sample data for a demo business.

Visitor counts are estimates, because Talelike forgets each visitor at midnight. Search engine reports need a connected service.

How the counting works

To respect your visitors’ privacy, Talelike recognises a visitor for one day only. At midnight the key changes. That makes daily visitor counts estimates, and a total over several days is not a count of unique people.

Raw measurements are kept for 90 days, so reports reach back about a season.

No heatmaps, no session recordings, no tracking across devices and no revenue attribution. Just a clear view of your own traffic.

Reports that need a connection

Search engine reports, such as impressions, clicks and positions, come from an outside service and appear once that connection is set up for your account. Your own traffic figures work without it.

Choose what to improve next

Improve the page people visit most, or the one they leave first.

Get to know your visitors

Build the website first and the figures will follow. Compare the plans whenever you are ready.
